NEW ORLEANS, LA – BUKU Music + Art Project announced the first round of talent for the fifth installment of the
annual festival, taking place on March 11+12, 2016 at the iconic Mardi Gras World in New Orleans.
Many of the most buzzworthy acts in the music world are poised to
electrify the crowd on multiple stages set against a unique industrial
backdrop.  In addition to BUKU’s stellar roster of performers, the
two-day festival features a signature arts component boasting an
eclectic array of one-of-a kind art installations, street performers as well as an assortment of local food & beverage purveyors. In
a city of festivals, BUKU seeks to reflect the youthful subculture of
New Orleans and deliver a big festival punch with a house-party vibe.

The
2016 festival will showcase an extensive lineup of headlining acts from
electronic, hip-hop, rock and indie music, including: a live set from
retro electronic artist Pretty Lights; multi-genre hip-hop artist Kid Cudi; Scottish electronic band CHVRCHES; Atlanta-native Future deemed “Southern rap’s most indomitable force” by Billboard; legendary trance trio Above & Beyond; Swedish indie pop band Miike Snow; British electronic group Nero; chart-topping New Jersey rapper Fetty Wap; electronic producer and saxophonist Griz; experimental electronic duo Crystal Castles; Harlem-bred rapper A$AP Ferg; trap/bass producer Baauer; Dutch DJ trio Yellow Claw; Parisian house producer Tchami; rapper and Odd Future affiliate Earl Sweatshirt; electro-producer Feed Me; Australian dance producer What So Not; English live electronic duo AlunaGeorge; Canadian house producer Art Department; explosive pop singer-songwriter BØRNS; rising R&B star Kehlani; multi-dimensional rap artist Post Malone; melodic house producer Sam Feldt; Mad Decent trap come-up NGHTMRE; bass producer G Jones; UK electronic producer Julio Bashmore; “sunset house” producer SNBRN; young LA-bred rapper Casey Veggies; Louisiana indie pop band Givers; electronica artist and famed remixer Jai Wolf; textured electronic producer Tokimonsta; modern producer Le Youth rooted in 90’s R&B; house duo Thugfucker; and rare “back to back” sets from electronic artists Cashmere Cat B2B Trippy Turtle, rappers Mystikal B2B Juvenile B2B electro-bounce artist Fly Boi Keno, DJ’s Mija B2B Anna Lunoe, and Dirtybird favorites J.Phlip B2B Kill Frenzy. In addition to GA ticketing priced at $189.50 for a two-day pass, BUKU
has created a variety of VIP ticketing options to elevate the typical
festival experience with a host of exclusive amenities including access
to the S.S. BUKU (a riverboat docked alongside the festival).
