Over 79,000 festivalgoers came together this past weekend, May 14-15th, for Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), New York at Citi Field to experience the vibrant sights and sounds, whimsical décor, playful costumed characters, carnival rides, specially curated art installations and blooming beats from over 80 of the top acts in dance music.

Four uniquely designed stages hosted performances from up and comers Alison Wonderland, Jauz, Sleepy Tom and Marshmello, alongside heavyweights Kaskade, Dillon Francis, Zedd and Ferry Corsten’s trance project, Gouryella.

EDC New York’s expanded festival footprint returned to the city with new additions and surprises, including the East Coast debut of Carnival Square. The space showcased local food and beverage favorites, curated sets from artists on the Boombox Art Car and 360-degree views of the entire festival grounds from the Ferris wheel.

VIP guests enjoyed an expanded experience throughout the festival grounds including the brand new speakeasy, The Blind Owl. This 1920’s inspired space featured with craft cocktails and a complimentary Sunday Funday Brunch. Life size board games, a whimsical ball pit, body painting, specialty food trucks and viewing areas at every stage completed the enhanced VIP amenities.

In support of the Tri-state area, Insomniac announced its exciting partnership with Horizons National, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing local summer enrichment learning programs to over 4,000 low-income students every summer across the U.S. As part of Insomniac’s philanthropy program, Insomniac Cares, a portion of the proceeds from this year’s EDC New York will be used to improve and expand Horizons’ arts education program.
