Yesterday, Insomniac announced additional world-renowned artists and single day ticket details for the debut of Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), Mexico. Insomniac will partner with OCESA to bring state-of-the-art production and a unique, immersive environment to the Autodromo Hermano Rodriguez racetrack in Mexico City for the first time, March 15-16, 2014. Mexican audiences will be able to discover firsthand the audiovisual and creative elements that have made the festival a global phenomenon.
“For EDC’s first journey to Mexico City, I want to bring signature elements of the festival as well as new surprises for fans to discover,” said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of Insomniac. “We plan on creating a festival experience that has never been seen in Mexico before, from creative staging and production design to an amazing lineup of artists. Every element has been designed with the fan experience in mind.”

Attendees can explore four stages of world-class music with extraordinary production and state-of-the-art lighting design. Lively theatrical performers and dancers will roam the festival grounds as full-size carnival rides, stunning pyrotechnics and visual effects transport festivalgoers into a new world. New and familiar larger than life art installations will scatter the festival grounds, including “Wish,” a 50-foot three-piece dandelion sculpture and “Mayan Warrior” a new art car featuring elaborate lighting design and flame effects.
Single day passes go on sale today, with general admission tickets priced at $68.70 and VIP tickets at $154.85 before service fees. Two-day general admission tickets and VIP packages are also available for purchase at $130.85 and $312.74 respectively. VIP amenities include a separate entrance to the festival for expedited access, exclusive decks with a full cash bar overlooking the stage, private restroom facilities and a souvenir laminate and lanyard. Minimum age for VIP tickets is 18. Tickets are on sale now at www.ticketmaster.com.mx.
