Relive Danny Avila’s live performance at Amsterdam’s ZiggoDome. Supporting legendary superstars Tiësto and Calvin Harris at their sold-out ADE 2013 show, in front of 12,500 screaming fans from all corners of the planet, the young teenager from Spain showed exactly why he’s been tipped for the top by the industry’s most celebrated heavyweights with 80 minutes of raw, electric house music that tore through the venue like a tornado.
Filmed and broadcast around the world thanks to the combined powers of Ziggo TV, Xite and B@TV and re-broadcasted through Tiësto’s own Facebook and YouTube channels just minutes after the lights went out, Avila’s set list exploded across the vast expanse of the ZiggoDome. Dyro’s ‘Hands Up’, Dannic & Sick Individuals’ ‘Blueprint’, Deniz Koyu’s ‘Rage’, Avicii & Nicky Romero’s ‘I Could Be The One’, Digitalism’s ‘Starlight’, Fisherman & Hawk’s ‘Apache’, Aoki’s epic remix of 2 Unlimited’s ‘Get Ready For This’ and Avila’s own productions ‘Tronco’, ‘Rastafunk’ and ‘Voltage’ were just some of the tracks that rained down from the speakers as the Spaniard leaped about behind the DJ booth with all the energy of…an 18-year-old.
The massive event highlighted the continuing on-the-road collaboration between Avila and Tiësto, who first performed together during the flying Dutchman’s 2012 Ibiza season and who have since toured across the US, Asia and are set to join forces once again in the UK as Avila joins Tiësto and Harris as official support for their ‘Greater Than’ tour. The relationship continues in the studio too – fans should also keep an eye out for Avila’s next track ‘Poseidon’, set for release this December on Music Freedom and destined to hit global dance charts like a sledgehammer.
